Dr. Kaji and Captain Utada

Seems like my computer has got well completely, after having had a large operation by Dr. Kaji!! It hasn't come back to me yet, since it's still in his hospital. Actually I e-mailed him this message again to get it copied and pasted here. But my computer can be picked up after a couple of days - it's a long time since I saw that "white-colored guy" ~♪ (can you tell now what kind of PC I have?)

By the way it's likely my computer was messed up, according to Kaji san. Hmmm well, I see, "messed up" . . . what on earth have I done to that poor computer?? (lol) I used it only for surfing www or emailing - did nothing complicated with it . . . I really have no idea how come this happened! Then it may be because I was taking very poor care of it. Oh no. I'm a Capricorn/blood type A who's supposed to be precise and brisk - ( T+T) (huh? sounds surprising?) Or am I so poor at using machines - No I cannot be! Recently I've been using my computer much more frequently and longer than ever - when working hard I sometimes spend much more time making the songs data alone in front of the huge music equipment larger than the length of my arms(←this may sound like I'm really poor at using machines(lol)) and computer, than laying down on my bed . . . anyway!! Here I swear I'll take a little better care of my computer from now on!

You know, come to think of it, these days musicians use machines so often and it really makes me feel like 21st century has come. Even I am getting to make all songs and demo data by using music applications. Me, such a tiny girl who messes up a laptop used only for email before she knows it. (lol) What's going on in music industry. Yes, I've been making songs and demo data using a software called Digital Performer 3 since a while ago and it's very smart and excellent! I've been thinking like people with brains or talents are so sexy, whichever they are male or female, and this software definitely reminds me of those. I'm in love with it. This software is actually used in the studio to make the final sound which is to reach your ears. Before getting in the studio I used to prepare the demos alone at home using the built-in sequencer of KORG's Trinity/Triton since around "(Wait & See)Risk", and while watching people using DP3 in the studio I thought maybe I could manage it, make the demos using it from the beginning. So I started using it, sometimes calling Mr. Tsunemi the programmer - well-known for Bohemian Summer Tour appearances (see, he's the programmer whom Elvis' costume fits best of all . . . (lol)) - asking to save me from the crisis, since the end of last year. It's really cool - it automatically changes the melody I play to the score or shows it to me as the wavelength . . . With it I can tweak every sound in detail almost infinitely.

But the more I use it, the more it makes me think it's so dangerous to treat music, which is emotional and intuitive, completely like a data. 'Cause, in a sense it's something like treating life just as an arrangement of DNA, a scientific data. It IS definitely one side of life, though. Or I just might need to understand it's a part of structure. So I wanna keep sailing on, taking it to heart that if "machinery" is something like a ship, it cannot have motive power and heading direction without "emotions" called Wind and Sea, no matter how highly the ship is technologized!

Captain Hikki keeps sailing on, heading for the continent yet to be seen.
That's all for now!

(」`ロ`) Aye Aye, Sir!

I'm already 19---!

It's been a long time and yet the title does not provide a device at all! hmmmp! But hear this, last Jan. 19 was my 19th birthday also! Considering all the countless blessings that I received I thought It's really wonderful. (All of you too) on the morning of your birthday, while on the way to school, or while walking inside the school campus, your heart does beat so fast, doesn't it? (All of you did, didn't you?) Suppose everyone inside the classroom extend greetings or suppose those few friends only whom you considered pals, the fact that your own birthday is being remember, it doesn't matter by whom or how many, is really something to be grateful! And so, there are so many places with so many people, from whom I received enormous surprise . . . I'm so happy, it's a kind of happiness that made your eyeball spinning round and round. I had this sensation and I wonder. . . am I really a very important person?!

Now, aside from this eyeball spinning talk I would like to add also, that my computer browser lately is not working ahhhhh! (okey it's an excuse) This message page that I have to register won't let me in. Okey, how did this message got here? This message was sent by e-mail to Kaji San, he made a copy to be recieve and post for this site. Also later today I will meet Kaji San ( it's not a date, it's work) at the same time I would ask him to give "Mr. Browser" a treatment. So that next time I can easily write a message, pls. pray for a good result! Because if this doesn't work , I'm gonna have to write messages in an inconvenient way and for sure this would affect the constancy in a way and this is absolutely not good, this computer should have had a full repair. ( This repair should have done much earlier)

Once my computer is fully repaired I would write more messages! I have so many things to write.
(It seems that a new single released date is final already? ? ? woooooow?)

Happy New Year!!!

It's the Year 2002! How did you all spend your New Year's Day!

Me, I just had the most relaxing and joyfull new year's eve! Usually I am working till late night, so this is very rare, I'm so happy......, for some of my musicians who are working, I'm sorry! All this time I have been working very hard and I rewarded myself! I ate mikan(japanese orange), dango(japanese dumpling), watched TV, play video game, made some phone calls, unwind myself! The mikan that I ate on New year's eve has really got that sweet delicious and delightful taste, I never knew it taste this good?? First time I've watched KOUHAKU, the special Japanese musical events(being watch by most families while gathering for the new year's eve) also K-1!!, I forgot about writing songs in one day, finally I feel that I have thoroughly observed the Japanese New Year. From now the next thing that will trouble me is,... which of the three videos that I rented will I watch first, all are classic Japanese movie(very old), not really the kind of movie that an 18 year old girl will choose.
No matter though this year, these are the moments that I will cherished! All these usual lavish parties and entertainments with everyone surrounds me including my friends, I would say that I had a warmly comfortable new year's eve instead, perhaps this might be the ambiance of the world, for this year so to speak.
Year 2001, I had an unsteady life, moving from here and there(Japan /NY), back and forth a lot of times and somehow got used to this time difference until it distubs my proper usual time. But this year I will make music as if an hour shaked bottle of soda (or carbonated drink) has been opened and everything inside spit out in a great volume!! Here and there, everywhere, where I can reach and be close to all of you, I will do my very best!!!
I wish you all the best, best year, let's make this world the best. Regards!!

Utada Hikaru
2001 / New Year's Day - oops nope!
